Here are three tried-and-true – and quite simple – ways to keep your employees safer in bad weather – and eliminate slip and fall incidents on snow and ice.

  • Housekeeping, such as shoveling sidewalks/parking lots and using salt or sand, goes a long way toward prevent workplace injuries.
  • Improve the traction under foot. By providing employees with the right ice cleat or traction aid, you can significantly reduce slips, trips and falls.

We hear from customers all the time that following tips 1 and 2 above help, but employing tip 3 – providing proper traction aids and winter cleats – is what helps most in making every step a safe one.
